Therapeutic Standard Therapeutic orthotics are designed for people with diabetes, arthritis, and other conditions that result in sensitive feet. Constructed with a multi-density material combination of Plastazote and heat moldable polyurethane, these orthotics offer excellent resilience, cushioning and shock absorption. The polyurethane base layer is 3/16'' thick from the heel through the arch, tapering towards the toe, and has a durometer of Shore A 40. Because of its distinctive self contouring capabilities and hypoallergenic formulation, Plastazote is recognized by medical professionals as the material of choice for treating diabetic/arthritic feet. All Therapeutic insoles are coded A5512 for Medicare reimbursement when dispensed as part of the Therapeutic Shoe Bill. Therapeutic Anatomical A strong metatarsal feature has been added to the Anatomical Version to relieve ball of foot pain and to help facilitate off-loading of the metatarsal head area.
